INDEX
"...an excellent overview presenting a unique exposition of all important developments, techniques and concepts in this rapidly advancing field. [...] In summary, this book gives an excellent overview of current and relevant approaches where there is a need for enzyme assay development and use, and should be of interest to a broad readership. It is an indispensable source of information and inspiration for everyone working in the field and can highly be recommended."
ChemBioChem

"...the value of this volume to students or investigators lies in the ability to develop assays in one's own laboratory based on the material presented...The broad and diverse scope of this volume makes it best suited to be an acquisition by an organization's library." Clinical Chemistry

"....is a useful source of information, inspiration, and references for its readers across chemistry and biology."

1985 Jean-Louis Reymond obtained his diploma working with Professor Seebach at the ETH Zürich. He finished his thesis in the field of total synthesis in 1989 in the group of Professor Vogel. After being in the United States for two years at the Scripps Research Institute he became an assistant professor there. 1997 he returned to the University of Bern, Switzerland. His research interest is biocatalysis and in particular enzyme design, assays, profiling, fingerprints and inhibitors.
