Advanced Sensor Research is an international open access journal for high-quality research encompassing all aspects of sensing. The journal publishes original research, review-type, and perspective articles across various research fields including materials science, chemistry, physics, engineering, optics, healthcare, and life science.
The journal’s scope covers the following key areas:
- Biosensors: sensors that contain or detect biologically relevant elements; e.g., antibodies, peptides, nucleic acids, metabolites, hormones, cells, tissues
- Chemical sensors: ions, small molecules, pH, electronic tongues, etc.
- Gas sensors: including humidity, volatile organic compounds, ozone, electronic noses for food safety, etc.
- Physical sensors: such as temperature, pressure, strain, mass, motion, electric and magnetic fields, particulate, proximity
- Optical sensors: IR, UV, visible, X-ray
- Sensors based on all types of sensing principles, including (but not limited to) electrochemical, optical, piezoelectric, capacitive, thermal, magnetic, mechanical, acoustic
- Sensor materials ranging from inorganic (metals, oxides, ceramics, etc.), organometallic (complexes, MOFs, etc.), and organic (polymers, molecules, COFs, etc.) to biomaterials, nanomaterials (nanoparticles, nanotubes, 2D materials, etc.), and hybrid systems
